The Hundreds is a community-focused streetwear brand founded in Los Angeles in 2003 by law school classmates Bobby Kim and Ben Shenassafar (A.K.A. Bobby Hundreds and Ben Hundreds).

Bobby Hundreds often describes his passion for NFTs as finding ways that the community can participate in the upside of a brand’s success.

I wear Nike everyday. Why do I keep shilling and advertising for this corporation? I should probably see some upside in that because I'm walking around marketing for them. I'm an influencer just like anyone is an influencer. I don't know if you have an audience of 6 people at your house or 6 million people on Instagram, it doesn't matter, you're an influencer — you should also part take in that [brand's] success. And this is probably also why Adam Bomb Squad exists today.

Adam Bomb Squad is a NFT collection that allows Bobby Hundreds and the team to leverage their passion for fashion and community and create a blueprint on how brands can build long-lasting win-win relationships with their fans.

How It Works

Beyond giving holders access to new The Hundreds collections/collaborations (including priority access), limited drops and IRL events, Adam Bomb Squad (or ABS) also gives holders a chance to feature their NFT as part of Adam Bomb Collection and collect royalties from the sales.

This is a great example of how NFTs help brands to categorize fans into different cohorts (i.e. super fans) and manage 1-to-1 / 1-to-many interactions with these fans in a much more transparent manner.

It's the combination of personal pride (flex💪), community status and aligned incentives that leads to higher retention and stronger organic growth.

We're still early in the NFT revolution and it's encouraging to see brands like The Hundreds leading the way.
